Privacy Policy

The Biomedical Technology Alliance (BTA) is committed to protecting your privacy.
Visitors to this site do not need to disclose any personal information. If you want to sign up for any notification services, we ask you to provide your email address, which is the only personally identifiable information we collect.

If you provide your email address to BTA, we will use it to notify you about new technologies and events in your area of interest. If you send us correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your use of the BTA site, we may collect such information in a file specific to you. We may use this information to respond to your inquiry, modify our services, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems or enforce our user agreement.

Sharing Information
BTA shares your personal information with partners who assist in services associated with the BTA site. Without this relationship, BTA could not provide its service to you. However, under their agreements with us, these third-party partners may not retain, share, store, or use your personal information for any secondary purposes. Otherwise, BTA does not share your personal information with third parties except when it believes disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation, to protect BTA and its users or in an emergency where someone's safety is at risk.

Changing/Deleting Personal Information

Each email message you receive from BTA as part of our notification services contains a link to a profile page where you may either change your profile information or unsubscribe from our list. If you change your profile information, your previous profile information will be purged, and only your current profile information will be stored. If you unsubscribe from our notification services, both your profile information and email address will be deleted. There will be no record of your previous membership, and we will not keep any personally identifiable records concerning you unless required to do so by law.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
If BTA wishes to change this policy, it will publish changes on this website at least 30 days before those changes will take effect. BTA will also notify users who are current subscribers to BTA's notification services of changes to this policy via email. Your continued use of BTA's notification services after receiving notification of a change will be deemed your manifest assent to the new terms. If you do not agree with BTA's privacy policy, you have the option of requesting that we delete your personally identifiable information from our databases.
